Hampshire Manor House & Estate
We loved working with our client and their four children on this beautiful Arts and Crafts manor house and estate in Hampshire.

The brief was to create a calm Scandinavian, minimalist home with British detailing and hand-crafted furnishings. We achieved this by balancing contemporary and classic furniture and by using a restrained pattern and colour palette.

A bold step was taken in removing an oversized chimney breast in the entrance of the house, opening the hallway to the dining room and revealing the pond and landscape beyond. This also allowed a clear line of sight from the spacious family kitchen to the formal drawing room, creating connected living spaces, the feel of light, space and warmth and an impressive lateral home.

Light hues were used to lift some of the robust architecture, whilst great care was taken to retain the beauty of the original features and fabric of the buildings.

The original staircase was retained and the boot room joinery was designed to compliment it.

We renovated the guest houses and kept the same aesthetic to create continuity throughout the estate.
